Order No. 1349 on on the import of food with special restrictions and penalties for the infringement of EU legislation.

This Order covers imports into Denmark, and imports via Denmark into another trading country, of food subject to special restrictions. It is prohibited to receive, use or transfer consignments covered by this Order, which have been withheld by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, before the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration gives permission to do so. The person responsible for the consignment shall send the CHED to the customs authorities at the border inspection post or at the designated entry point, respectively, after completion of official food inspection, and provide document to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration that rejected consignments are returned to third countries or destroyed in the EU.
This Order contains specific restrictions concerning imports from Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Republic of Guinea, India, Italy, Japan, China, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, Hungary, Nigeria, and certain provisions on radioactive substances from other countries.
The Order contains six Sections and two Annexes: 1. Scope, definitions and general requirements; 2. Foodstuffs of animal origin - individual restrictions; 3. Foodstuff of non-animal origin - general provisions; 4. Foodstuff of non-animal origin - individual restrictions; 5. Foodstuffs of non-animal origin subject to a temporary increase in public control and emergency measures under Regulation (EU) 2019/1793; 6. Penalties and entry into force.
Annex 1. List of foods of animal-origin in which the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration may request a certificate of authority on radioactivity, cf. Regulation (EC) No 733/2008.
Annex 2. List of foods of non-animal origin in which the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration may request an authority certificate on radioactivity, cf. Regulation (EC) No 733/2008.
