Abstract
The Order applies to the implementation of monitoring programmes for water bodies in environmentally protected areas. The Order's purpose is to acquire a national overview of the general environmental conditions, and to identify problem areas in regards to their habitat. These monitoring activities have the purpose of avoiding significant degradation and damage associated with the ecosystem, and are carried out by the Urban and Environmental Planning Board through surveillance programmes of surface and groundwater chemical status.
