Abstract
This Directive lays down certain derogations in relation to the conservation in situ and the sustainable use of plant genetic resources through growing and marketing, specifically as regards the vegetable species covered by Directive 2002/55/EC. These derogations refer to acceptance for inclusion in the national catalogues of varieties of vegetable species, of landraces and varieties which have been traditionally grown in particular localities and regions and threatened by genetic erosion.
