Abstract
This Regulation lays down detailed provisions implementing Council Directive 2006/88/EC on animal health requirements for aquaculture animals and products thereof, and on the prevention and control of certain diseases in aquatic animals. These implementing rules concern conditions and certification requirements for the placing on the market and the import into the European Community of aquaculture animals and products thereof and laying down a list of vector species. In particular, it lays down: (a) a list of vector species; (b) animal health conditions for the placing on the market of ornamental aquatic animals either originating from or intended for closed ornamental facilities; (c) animal health certification requirements for the placing on the market of aquaculture animals; (d) animal health conditions and certification requirements for imports into the European Community, and transit therein, including storage during transit.
