Abstract
These Regulations which are made under the Food Safety Act 1990, implement Council Directive 94/65/EC laying down requirements for the production and placing on the market of minced meat and meat production. The Regulations, inter alia: (a) require premises producing minced meat or meat preparations destined for consignment to EEA states minus Iceland to be approved; (b) specify conditions for the sale of minced meat or meat preparations either in Great Britain or to relevant EEA States; (c) specify conditions for transport; and (d) specify duties of the occupier of premises. (16 Regulations, divided into 5 Parts, completed by 14 Schedules)
