Abstract
The Law regulates new agricultural plant species and seeds. It consists of 15 articles: Purpose and scope of regulation (1); Definition of terms (2); Purpose of permitting varieties to be disseminated (3); Rules for permitting varieties to be disseminated in Georgia (4); National catalogue (5); Certification of seeds and planting materials (6); Certification (7); Fee for certification (8); Determining the quality indicators of seeds and planting materials (9); Field inspections (10); Labeling of seeds and planting materials (11); Basis of liability (12); Liability (13); Transitional provisions (14); and Entry into force of the Law (15). The purpose of the Law is to ensure placement of quality seeds and planting materials on the Georgian market.
