Abstract
This Law regulates the protection of basic rights of consumers when buying products and services, as well as other forms of acquisition of goods and services on the market.
The Law provides for: a) the right to protect economic interests of consumers; b) right for the protection against hazards to life, health and property; c) legal protection of consumers; d) right to information and consumer education; e) the right of association of consumers to protect their interests; and f) the right to represent consumers and consumer representatives to participate in the work of dealing with the issues of their interest.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except the provisions of articles: 103, 104, 107-115 and 131-141 which shall enter into force on the day of entrance of the Croatian Republic into the European Union.
