Abstract
This Regulation amends various articles part of the Regulation on the marketing of seeds of oil and fiber plants (Official Gazette 126/2007 and 20/2013).
Important changes are related to the adoption of the terms and principles contained in the following documents: Council Directive 2002/57/EC of 13 June 2002 on the marketing of seed of oil and fiber plants, its amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/317 of 3 March 2016, and various other amending Regulations such as Council Directive 66/401/EEC, 66/402/EEC, 2002/54/EC, 2002/55 EC, 2002/56/EC and 2002/57/EC as regards the official designation seed packaging; and Directive 2008/124/EC of 18 December 2008 on the restriction on the marketing of seed of certain species of fodder and oil plants (only certified seeds) to "basic seed" or "certified seed".

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for article 10 that shall enter into force on 1 January 2017 and articles 11 and 12 which will enter into force on 1 April 2017.
