Abstract
This Regulation prescribes all necessary rules and requirements aimed to correctly define the activities of catch, farming and trade of tuna (Thunnus thynnus), swordfish (Xiphias gladius) and Mediterranean spearfish (Tetrapturus belone) on the territory of the Croatian Republic.
The Regulation for purpose of rational management and conservation officially establishes the: State Quota; Allowed Catch quotas of tuna sort by type of fishing and fishing gear; Time ban on the use of certain fishing gear; Minimum size of the catch; Manner of sport fishing of tuna (Thunnus thynnus), swordfish (Xiphias gladius) and Mediterranean spearfish (Tetrapturus belone); Manner of recreational fishing for tuna (Thunnus thynnus), swordfish (Xiphias gladius) and Mediterranean spearfish (Tetrapturus belone); Measures the performance of fish farming (only species defined by this Regulation); Management measures for the determination of the capacity of the fishing fleet (catch capacities); Management measures regarding the capacity of various types of farming facilities; Catch data delivery, transfer, transhipment, unloading and breeding; Records on catch and cross-checking of data; Use of vessel monitoring system; Program of observers on board of fishing vessels and fish farms; and various other market measures and standards.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
