Abstract
This Law defines and regulates the efficient use of energy as a concrete national objective, including various measures for the effective improvement of such tendency, energy efficiency in final consumption, principles of ratio between the energy consumption and the effects achieved in services.
Additional measures provided by this Law are: actions and activities to aimed to directly achieve the improvement of energy efficiency, which can be checked, measured or evaluated; production of electric and/or heat energy using renewable energy sources; production of electricity or heat for own needs; educational or informative activities aimed at strengthening the awareness of legal and physical persons about the significance, effects and possibilities of the improvement of the energy efficiency on the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.
This Law further prescribes the offences and related penalties (see Chapter IX).
