Abstract
This Decree implements various Directives of the Council of the European Communities notably the Council Directive 64/433/EEC of 26 June 1964 on health problems affecting intra-Community trade in fresh meat, Council Directive 77/99/EEC of 21 December 1976 on health problems affecting intra-Community trade in meat products, Council Directive 91/67/EEC of 28 January 1991 concerning the animal health conditions governing the placing on the market of aquaculture animals and products, and Council Directive 92/117/EC of 17 December 1992 concerning measures for protection against specified zoonoses and specified zoonotic agents in animals and products of animal origin in order to prevent outbreaks of food-borne infections and intoxications. It makes provision with respect to the recognition of laboratories, collaboration with an animal production industry branch organization for the prevention of salmonella, notification of diseases by keepers of animals, etc.
