Abstract
It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land Norwegian spring-spawning herring in 2015. Notwitstanding the prohibition, Norwegian vessels are permitted to engage in fishing for Norwegian spring-spawning herring, fishing and landing up 172 638 tons Norwegian spring-spawning herring in the Norwegian territorial waters and economic zone north of 62 N, the fisheries zone around Jan Mayen and in international waters. Of this quantity 419 tons are allocated to Iceland. Further 970 tons for research, apprenticeships and teaching purposes. Further 550 tons for bait.
The Regulation consists of 7 Chapters: Prohibition and quotas (1); Fishing seine group (2); Fishing trawler group (3); Fishing in coastal vessel group (4); Locked areas (5); Common provisions (6); Administrative fines, penalties and entry into force (7).
