Abstract
This Act, which is composed of 13 Sections and one Annex, lays down the general principles of: (1) geological activities; (2) extraction from deposits; (3) underground non-reservoir storage of substances; (4) underground landfill of wastes; (5) underground storage of carbon dioxide. The present Act specifies also requirements concerning protection of mineral deposits, underground waters and other environmental elements affected by geological activities. The Act is composed of the following Sections: General provisions (sect. 1); Mining property, mining usufruct and other mining rights (sect. 2); Concessions (sect. 3); Qualifications, experts and professional liability (sect. 4); Geological activities (sect. 5); Mining company and mining rescue (sect. 6); Fees (sect. 7); Liability for damages (sect. 8); Administration, state geological service and supervision (sect. 9); Penalties (sect. 10); Criminal provisions (sect. 11); Changes in valid provisions (sect. 12); Transitional and final provisions (sect. 13).
