Abstract
This Decree-Law rules on the production, control and certification of agriculture and horticulture plant seeds for commercialization purposes. It transforms into national law the Council Directives No. 98/95/CE and No. 98/96/CE of 14 December 1998 and 2001/64/CE of 31 August 2001. It is composed of 34 articles and one Annex regulating field inspections and samplings to be undertaken by private agents under the authorization of the General Direction for Crop Protection. The Decree-Law stipulates that the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries will define by Order the implementing rules.
