Governmental Decree No. 1098 “On federal state forest control (supervision).”

This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for organization and performance of federal state forest control (supervision). The subject of state control (supervision) is compliance by legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and citizens with the requirements established by the Forest Code of the Russian Federation, other federal laws and adopted in accordance with them other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, laws and other regulatory legal acts of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the fields of application, protection, reproduction of forests and afforestation (including in the field of fire safety in forests), in the field of forest seeds production, with the exception of mandatory requirements in the field acceptance, transportation, processing and storage of timber and its traceability, accounting of timber and transactions therewith. State control (supervision) shall be carried out by executive bodies, their territorial bodies, state institutions subordinated thereto, within their competence in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The objects of state control (supervision) shall be as follows: (a) the activities of controlled persons in the field of forest management; (b) protection of forests; (c) afforestation and reforestation and afforestation; (d) production facilities: (e) forest plots, parts of forest plots, on which, inter alia, activities are carried out related to the use, protection, reproduction of forests and afforestation; and (f) means of preventing and extinguishing forest fires.
