Abstract
The purpose of the present Ministerial Decree is to further restrict hunting of endangered wildlife species by imposing more severe rules such as nominative hunting permits that are not subject to prolongation in case of unsuccessful hunting, while the hunting permits are being issued only in particular cases for the needs of small indigenous population, for the preservation of endangered species. The Decree also provides for state control in this sphere. The enforcement of the present regulation is under the supervision of the Environmental State Committee of the Russian Federation, which is the only issuing agency of hunting permits and beneficiary of royalties.
