Ministerial Decree No. 768 regarding the distribution of the total allowable catch in accordance with quotas.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the distribution of total allowable catch in the internal sea, territorial sea, continental shelf, EEZ of the Russian Federation and also in the Caspian sea and the Sea of Azov in accordance with quotas. It shall not be applicable to the Pacific salmon species. The Federal Fisheries Agency annually by 10 November shall elaborate and submit to the Ministry of Agriculture the scheme of the distribution of the total allowable catch for the forthcoming year in accordance with the following quotas: (a) traditional community management of scanty indigenous population of the North, Siberia and Far East of the Russian Federation; (b) fisheries for research purposes; (c) fish farming, stock enhancement and acclimatization; (d) foreign fishing in the Russian EEZ in accordance with the international conventions; (e) fisheries for educational and training purposes; (f) sport fishing; and (g) fisheries on the continental shelf and in the EEZ of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Agriculture shall validate the aforesaid quotas for the forthcoming year by 5 December of the current year.
