Abstract
By this Decree the Republic of Turkey hereby approves the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The Vienna Convention consists of 21 articles and the Montreal Protocol consists of 20 articles. The texts of the Convention and Protocol have been added to this Decree in its original Turkish translation and in English. Both agreements aim at protecting human health and environment by creating a legal framework for the international efforts to protect the ozone layer with the Vienna Convention and by phasing out the production of numerous substances that are responsible for ozone depletion with the Montreal Protocol.
