Law No. 7223 on product safety and technical regulations.

The purpose of this Law is to ensure that products are safe and comply with the relevant technical regulations. The provisions of this Law shall apply to all products intended to be placed on the market, kept on the market or being offered as service. The products exported or intended to be exported to the Member States of European Union are deemed to have been placed on the market within the scope of this Law.
This Law lays down provisions on the principles of market surveillance and control; technical regulations and product safety in compliance with human health and safety; the liability of manufacturer or importer of the product to compensate for the damage; the obligations of manufacturer, authorized representative, importer and distributor; traceability of products within the scope of this Law; mandatory conformity assessment procedures and the duties of conformity assessment bodies; general procedures and principles of market surveillance and the inspection of products; and administrative fines.
This Law emphasizes the importance of product labeling with essential information such as model numbers, serial numbers, contact details of the responsible businesses, and instructions for safe use. It also highlights the obligation of businesses to take corrective measures if a product is found to be non-compliant or poses risks to consumers. Additionally, it addresses the issue of product recalls in cases where other measures are insufficient to eliminate risks.
