Regulations relating to establishments, varieties, plants and propagating material.

These Regulations implement provisions of the Plant Improvement Act, 1976 concerning, among other things: (a) registration of nurseries and other establishments as defined by the Act: (b) requirements relating to establishments; (c) records to be kept at establishments; (c) recognition of varieties; (d) requirements relating to the quality and presentation of seed; (e) requirements relating to plants and propagating material other than seed; (f) containers of propagating material; (g) marking and labelling of plants and propagating material; (h) import and export of plants and propagating material; and (i) inspection and sampling of seed, plants and other propagating material excluding seed. The Regulations also define offences and prescribe penalties for such offences.
