Abstract
This Decre, composed of 48 articles, implements articles 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 33, 36, 41, 42, 47, 48 and 55 of the Act No. 9.985 regulating the National System for Protected Areas. It also regulates Conservation Units’ Councils as set out under articles 15, 17, 18 and 20 of the afore said Act. This Decree consists of 10 Chapters dealing with, respectively:Conservation Units’ Establishment; Subsoil and Airspace; Conservation Units’ Mosaic; Management Plan; Council;Shared Management with OSCIP (Organization of public Interst Civil Society); Authorization for exploitating goods and services; environmental impact compensation; Traditional Populations Resettlement; Markup of Additional Conservation Units not yet Foreseen; Biosfere Reserves.
