Abstract
This Order implements regulations of any import or/and transit in Denmark of animal food-stuff and other food of animal origin to be controlled by customs veterinarians for commercial, private and/or test purposes. It applies to ships and aircrafts of developing countries in Danish ports and landing at Danish airports. Special inspection at borders shall take place for fish, fish products and meat. The procedures must observe national and EU standards of import from trade areas and laboratory tests shall confirm approval of import thereof. Food must be accompanied by a health certificate or specially designed commercial documents in cases of suspect animal health followed by registration. Trading country include EU country, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Andorra and San Marino as well as Faroe Islands and Iceland (for fish and fishery products, bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine snails). These countries collectively designate the trade area. The following are not included in the trade area: Faroe Islands (fish and fishery products and bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine snails, however, trade), Greenland, Ceuta and Melilla in Spain, overseas territories and districts in France.
