Abstract
This Regulation lays down detailed rules for the application of the system of imports of timber products provided for in Regulation (EC) No. 2173/2005, which established the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community. It lays down requirements for FLEGT licences and conditions concerning their acceptance and verification. Further the Regulation lays down provisions on electronic systems for the exchange and recording of data contained in licences among Member States.
