Abstract
This Regulation sets out detailed provisions to implement those laid down under Regulation (EC) No. 2200/96 on the common organization of the market in fruit and vegetables, Regulation (EC) No. 2201/96 on the common organization of the markets in processed fruit and vegetable products and Regulation (EC) No. 1182/2007 concerning the fruit and vegetable sector. These provisions deal, among others, with (i) checks to be carried out to ensure compliance with marketing standards, including checks at import and export points; (ii) certification of fruit and vegetable products; (iii) requirements to be met by producers organizations and related associations; (iv) financial aid granted by the European Community; (iv) monitoring and evaluation of operational programmes and of national strategies.
