Abstract
This Regulation establishes detailed rules to implement Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, which lays down provisions governing trade in species of wild fauna and flora in order to ensure their protection. The implementing rules hereby established concern import permits, export permits, reexport certificates, personal ownership certificates and applications for such documents (forms are laid down in Annexes I to VI); customs procedures; labels to be used; marking requirements. Member States shall collect data on imports into and exports and re-exports from the Community that have taken place on the basis of permits and certificates issued by their management authorities.
