Abstract
The sections of the Act are divided into 3 Parts: Fisheries for shellfish (sects. 1-11); Further provisions with respect to shellfish (sects. 12-18); Supplemental (19-25). Section 1 gives the appropriate Minister the power to make orders for the purpose of establishment or improvement, and for maintenance and regulation of a fisheries for shellfish of one or more species specified in that section. Also a right of several fishery may be granted under section 1 in respect of the whole area or part of the area of a fishery. Section 4 provides for powers of licensing in the case of regulated fishery. Section 7 provides for measures of protection in a fishery. Section 15 concerns the prevention of fish diseases in waters in which the public have a right to fish.
