Ministerial Decree No. 400 validating the Regulation on the Federal Nature Management Supervision Service.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that the Federal Nature Management Supervision Service shall be the Federal executive body for supervision and control in the sphere of nature management. The Federal Nature Management Supervision Service shall carry out supervision and control of the following: (a) protection, conservation and management of wild fauna and its natural habitat (except for game and fish); (b) management of Federal protected areas; (c) exploration, rational management and protection of subsoil; (d) state forest supervision related to forestries and urban forests; (e) protection of water bodies (Federal state control); (f) safety of waterworks; (g) land surveys within its area(s) of competence; and (f) forest fire control. It shall issue licences for: (a) hunting of game recorded in the Red Book and harvest of rare and endangered plants; (b) hunting of wildlife species and catching fish that are not subject to hunting and fishing; (c) import and export of trophies, wild fauna and wild flora species; and (d) export of live fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
