Abstract
The Regulations apply to fishing in saltwater and freshwater. Various provisions contain also requirements relating to trade in fish.
The 45 regulations are divided into 5 Parts, i.e.: Preliminary (I); Registration of Fishing Vessels (II); Licensing of Fishing vessels, Fishermen and Fish Dealers (III); General Provisions Relating to Prohibitions, Restrictions and Exemptions (IV); Offences and Penalties (V).
Part IV makes provision for restrictions on external trade and introduction of non-indigenous species, control of fish disease, use of gear, water pollution, protection of spawn, entry of foreign vessels in territorial waters.
