Law No. 12.512 creating the Support Programmes for the Environmental Conservation and for the Promotion of Rural Productive Activities.

This Law, consisting of 4 Chapters, creates the Programmes for the Environmental Conservation and for the Promotion of Rural Productive Activities. The Programme for the Environmental Conservation aims at promoting the conservation of Regional ecosystem, through its management and sustainable use. The implementation of this Programme will be under the Ministry of Environment. The beneficiaries of this Programme should be extremely poor families with livelihoods in the following areas: National forests, Extraction reserves, and Federal Sustainable development. The Programme for the Promotion of Rural Productive Activities aims at stimulating productive works and sustainable revenue generating activities, promoting the food and nutritional security and of beneficiaries and promote the active participation of stakeholders. The implementation of this Programme will be under the Ministry of the Agricultural and Social Development.
