Abstract
This Law, consisting of 7 articles, establishes guidelines and defines general objectives for the National Policy on Family Farming and Rural Family Units. The National Policy will observe, among others, the following principles: decentralization; environmental, social and economic sustainability; equity in the application of policies, respecting aspects of gender, generation and ethnicity; participation of family farmers in the formulation and implementation of the national family farming policy and rural family units.
