Abstract
The purpose of the present Act is to consolidate Acts relating to agriculture and the marketing of agricultural products. Part II lays down provisions relating to agricultural associations which may be organized for any district. Their object shall be to improve agriculture and in general rural community life. Furthermore, the Act deals with, amongst others, matters such as Community Clubs, commodity groups, encouragement of horticulture, horticultural societies, encouragement of seed growing, encouragement of dairying, soil improvement, plant diseases, insects and pests, prevention and treatment of contagious diseases amongst bees, county and district exhibitions, agricultural education, grading, packing, inspection and sale of natural products of the province, Community pastures, land conservation and use, fur farming. The Act consists of 194 sections divided into 21 Parts.
