Abstract
The Minister of Environment and Food of Denmarks lays down rules and regulations of this Act which applies to commercial cultivation, handling, trade and transport of genetically modified crops including seeds and other plant propagating material which genetic material has been altered by pollination or natural recombination. The purpose of this Act is to limit the spread of pollen, seeds and vegetative propagation material to other fields and crops and its activities shall be monitored and carried out only by authorized trained persons.
Art. 2 - In connection with the application for authorization of cultivating genetically modified crops, the Minister shall submit to a Parliamentary Committee a recommendation on whether to request exclusion from the geographical scope of application. This shall not apply to genetically modified crops indicated by article 9, sections 2 and 5 of the Environment and Genetic Engineering Act.
Art. 13 - The Minister of Environment and Food of Denmark may issue prohibitions and orders deemed necessary for compliance with the law or by rules laid down under this Act, or in accordance to EU regulations on matters covered by this Act.
