Abstract
This Directive shall apply to the marketing of propagating material of ornamental plants within the Community. This shall be without prejudice to the rules on protection of wild flora, the rules on packaging and packaging waste, or, save where otherwise provided for in this Directive or on the basis thereof, the plant health rules. Suppliers may market propagating material only if it meets the requirements such as those on marketing, packaging and labelling laid down in this Directive. Importers from third countries are required to ensure that propagating material is affords equivalent guarantees in all respects to material produced in the Community in accordance with this Directive.
