Abstract
These Regulations introduce maximum permitted levels and other controls relating to certain contaminants in foodstuffs and introduce new or amended controls relating to dioxins and the sum of dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs. They define offences in relation with the use or mixing of foods containing specified contaminants or above the specified maximum levels. They further specify the enforcement authorities for purposes of these Regulations and provide for the application of specified provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990 for the purposes of these Regulations.
