Abstract
This Regulation sets out the genera and species of fruit plants and their hybrids which may be certified and conditions for certification of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants; the categories of individual species and conditions to be fulfilled by individual categories with respect to origin, varietal and rootstock identity as well as vegetative development and health status; the requirements for the production of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants; the measures, procedures and requirements that must be met by suppliers of propagating material and fruit plants; the method of keeping records of actions taken during production, sales, purchases and deliveries of propagating material; the period during which the documents must be kept; the identification and isolation requirements for propagating material produced for clients from third countries; the method of conducting official inspection of individual species and categories of propagating material and fruit plants; the method and time of submitting an application for official inspection; the deadline by which applications for official inspection are to be submitted; supervision of the work of laboratories; forms and documents, and the contents, form and method of keeping records on issued planting material certificates; the method of, and the requirements for, conducting post-control in respect of individual plant species; the requirements for, and the method of, issuing planting material certificates; the method of, and the requirements for, packaging, sealing and labelling propagating material and fruit plants of individual plant species and their categories; the requirements for wholesale and retail sale of propagating material and fruit plants; the documents that must accompany propagating material and fruit plants at import and/or that must be affixed to the package; the packaging, sealing and labelling requirements that must be satisfied when importing and placing on the market propagating material and fruit plants and the method of keeping records.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
