Abstract
This Law makes provision with respect to food safety and hygiene in Guernsey. It, among other things: defines offences in connection with preparation and sale of injurious foods and adulterated drugs; provides for general protection for purchasers of food and drugs; provides for powers of the States Health and Social Services Department ("the Board") to regulate the composition food and the labelling of food; inspection, sampling and testing of food; registration of food premises; and emergency orders.
