Abstract
This Law defines and prescribes various provisions aimed to regulate the preservation and protection of forests, enhancing their ecological functions, providing and implementing forest planning and management of forests (including inspection, monitoring, fire protection, animal and wildlife protection issues), also defining the economic aspects, financing of reconstruction and improvement of forests on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As defined by general principles of this Law, forests and forest land enjoy special care and protection and they are one of the main natural resource whose values are manifested through environmental, social and production functions.
The Law is divided into 11 Chapters and 81 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
