Abstract
This Law prescribes the basis for the implementation of economic policy incentives aimed to offer all necessary conditions for the development, restructuration and market adjustment related to the small scale business on the territory of the Croatian Republic, as well as the basis for the establishment of the Croatian Agency for Small Business.
This Law further provides the administrative and legal basis for the classification (micro, small and medium entities) of small scale businesses; and their concrete access to state benefits.
The main development objectives: increase in employment; increase in exports and adjustment to world markets; increase in effectiveness, quality and competitiveness of small business; research, development and implementation of new technologies and innovations; increase the number of small business entities; promotion of environmentally safe and sustainable activities.
The Management Board consisting of eleven members manages the Agency in compliance with the provisions of the Agency's Statutes.
Members of the Management Board shall be are appointed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, with the following officials proposing one member each: Minister of Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises, Minister of Finance, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Minister of Economy, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, President of the Croatian Chamber of Crafts, President of the Croatian Association of Co-operatives and President of the Croatian Employers' Association.
The Law is divided into VIII Chapters and 30 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
