Abstract
An authority to be called the New Zealand Horticulture Export Authority is established as a body corporate under section 5. The primary function of the Authority shall be to promote the effective export marketing of horticultural products. Other (secondary) functions are outlined in section 6. Powers of the Authority are outlined in section 8. The Authority shall appoint chief executive officer under section 16. An Order in Council may declare product to be prescribed product (section 24). Subject to the provisions of section 34, no person shall export any prescribed product unless that person holds an export licence granted by the Authority in respect of that product. Conditions of license are set out in section 37. The holder of an export licence who is dissatisfied with any decision of the Authority may appeal to an arbritor under section 43. Entry into force notes
This Act shall come into force on the 28th day after the day on which it receives the Governor-General’s assent.
