Abstract
This Regulation supplements the rules on disease awareness, preparedness and control to be applied with regard to the listed diseases referred to in article 9(1) (a), (b) and (c) of Regulation (EU) 2016/429 (the "Animal Health Law"). These supplementing rules cover both kept and wild terrestrial animals (see Part II of the Regulation) and kept and wild aquatic animals (see Part III of the Regulation). These provisions establish disease control measures and define obligations of operators in case of suspicion of disease, investigations to be carried out by the competent authorities, restriction and biosecurity measures, inventory and record analysis, temporary restricted zones, visits by official veterinarians. Prohibitions in relation to activities, including movements, concerning animals, products and other material within, from or to the protection zone are laid down as well.
