Law on Veterinary Medicine (No. 79/2015/QH13).

This Law, consisting of 116 articles divided into seven Chapters, prescribes animal disease prevention and treatment, animal epidemic combat; quarantine of animals and animal products; control of animal slaughter, preliminary processing and processing of animals and animal products; veterinary sanitation inspection; management of veterinary drugs; and veterinary practice. This Law applies to domestic and foreign organizations and individuals involved in animal health activities in Vietnam. This Law is divided as follows: General Provisions (Chap. I); Animal Epidemic Prevention and Combat (Chap. II); Quarantine of Animals and Animal Products (Chap. III); Control of Slaughter of Terrestrial Animals; Preliminary Processing and Processing of Terrestrial Animals and Animal Products; Veterinary Sanitation Inspection (Chap. IV); Management of Veterinary Drugs (Chap. V); Veterinary Practice (Chap. VI); Implementation Provisions (Chap. VII).
