Abstract
This Law regulates the health status of plants, determines the measures and commitments aimed to prevent the occurrence, introduction and spread of harmful organisms in plants, defines and regulates all plant products, regulates the biological plant protection and additional practices in this sector, also governing the data collection and exchange of data and Plant Information systems issues, regulates public services in the field of plant health and plant protection, determines the bodies responsible for the implementation of the prescribed rules, practices and inspection duties (on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Major purpose of this Law is to ensure the protection of plant health, and in particular: the protection of plants and plant products compensation organisms; the prevention of the introduction and spread as well as concrete suppression measures against harmful organisms; the detection and identification of harmful organisms; the optimization of the production of agricultural plants; the management and monitoring over the development of crop protection; and further prescribing the provision related to the education and public informing.
The Law is divided into XV chapters and 94 articles, including the offences and penalties.
