Abstract
This Presidential Regulation, implementing provisions of article 11 of the Law no. 39 of 2008 concerning State Ministries, and following indications of the Presidential Decree no. 113/P/2019, provides for defining status, duties and functions of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and details the organisation of the Ministry and its related agencies. The Regulation defines the following functions: formulation, stipulation and implementation of Policies in the environment and forestry sector; management and conservation of natural resources and their ecosystem; improvement of watershed carrying capacity; sustainable forest management; increasing industrial competitiveness of primary forest products; control of pollution and damage to the environment; waste management, disposal of hazardous and toxic materials and waste; climate change control; forest and land fire control; social forestry and environmental partnerships.
