Abstract
The Law No. 10304 of 2010 sets out the framework for the development of the mineral and post-mineral sector in the Republic of Albania, maximization of public profit from mineral activities, and the protection of environment and public health from mineral risks and disposals. The Law includes the following Chapters: General Provisions (I), Strategic Mineral Planning (II), Classification of the Mineral Rights and the Mineral Permits Types (III), Procedures for Issuance of Permits, Licenses, and Authorizations (IV), General Rights and Duties of the Possessor/ Mineral Rent (V), Transfer of Rights (VI), Monitoring of the Mineral Activities and the Mineral Kadastra (VII), Administrative Infringements (VIII), Mineral Data and Confidentiality (IX), Closure and Conservation of Mines (X) and Final Provisions (XI).
