Abstract
This Law prescribes all necessary standards, rules and measures aimed to regulate the protection of the environment on the territory of the Republic of Srpska (Federation of BIH).
This Law specifically defines numerous standards to be implemented as preservation measures, aimed to reduce the risk to human life and health, also ensuring and improving the quality of life, the protection of all natural elements of the environment, also providing information and granted public access to information in the field of environmental protection, planning and environmental risk assessment, strategic impact control assessment and monitoring tasks, including various environmental impact assessment procedures.
This Law also provides for the: issuance of permits and the prevention of large-scale accidents, system of eco-labelling and environmental protection management, reelated financial measures, damage management procedures, as well the rights and obligations of legal and natural persons engaged in activities determined by the environmental Protection Sector.
The Law is divided into 15 Chapters and 138 article, including all offences and related penalties.
