Abstract
This Law regulates the planning, management, re-forestation, cultivation, protection and sustainable use of forests and forest land as important natural resources (both private and state owned forest land and/or forests).
This Law further defines the exercise of public functions related to the forest sector on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, the rights and obligations of the principles implemented as methods for forest management (principle of biological, economic, social and environmental acceptability), funding, and other essential forest issues.
This Law is divided into XIII Chapters and 116 articles, including the offences and penalties.
Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
