Abstract
This Law regulates the fisheries and aquaculture sector and related activities on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, including the provisions governing over the fisheries management and protection of fish resources, reporting and data delivery/collection, fisheries sectoral planning, aquaculture production of fish and other aquatic animals (fish farms).
Major objectives of this Law are to implement the general interest good principle as regards the fisheries sector; to enable the permanent use of fish through sustainable development for commercial and recreational sports fishing, development of commercial fishing and aquaculture, preservation and protection of indigenous and endangered fish.
This Law is divide into XIV Chapters and 120 articles, including the offences and penalties (see Chapter XIII).
