Abstract
This Law regulates the production, purchase, processing and trade of unprocessed and processed tobacco, production and trade of tobacco products and related products, as well as negotiating the production and purchase of tobacco, the register of tobacco buyers, the manner of conducting tests that are necessary to obtain a license to assess unprocessed tobacco, register of producers, exporters and importers of tobacco products and related products, the register of brands of tobacco products and related products, electronic cigarettes and vegetable (herbal) smoking products, product additives of tobacco, appearance and packaging of tobacco products and related products, warnings and information messages of tobacco products and related products, offences and penalties, financing, tobacco control (products from tobacco, related products and additives).
This Law harmonizes with the provisions of the Directive 2014/40/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco and related products and repealing Directive 2001/37/EC.
