Abstract
This Ministerial Decree defines the responsibilities of the Ministry of Agriculture as follows: (a) elaborate state policy and legislative regulation of agriculture; (b) elaborate state policy and legislative regulation regarding turnover of agricultural land; and (c) provide state services in the agro-industrial sector, including the sustainable development of rural areas. The Ministry shall have the following plenary powers: (a) adopt and validate hunting regulations; (b) validate calculation of cutting areas, timber extraction, forest harvesting and collection of soft resin; (c) validate regulations on the classification and valuation of pedigree species; (d) validate regulations on procurement, processing, storage and management of agricultural seeds; (e) validate veterinary regulations; and (f) validate the list of quarantine species. The Ministry shall also issue pedigree certificates.
