Abstract
These Provisions, consisting of 22 Articles, are formulated in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, its implementation regulation, and other laws and regulations, for the purposes of urging enterprises to implement their main responsibility for food safety, strengthening the responsibility for food safety of the primary persons in charge of enterprises, and regulating the conduct of food safety management personnel.
These Provisions shall apply to the implementation of responsibility for food safety by the primary persons in charge, food safety directors, food safety officers, and other food safety management personnel of food production and distribution enterprises in accordance with the law and the supervision and administration thereof within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
A food production and distribution enterprise shall establish and improve a food safety management system, implement the food safety responsibility system, appoint food safety directors, food safety officers, and other food safety management personnel commensurate with enterprise scale, food categories, risk level, management level, and safety condition, among others, and specify the job responsibilities of the primary persons in charge, food safety directors, and food safety officers, among others, of the enterprise.
