Abstract
These Provisions, consisting of 24 Articles, are formulated in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, its implementation regulation, and other laws and regulations, for the purposes of urging food production and business operation enterprises to implement their main responsibility for food safety, strengthening the responsibility for food safety of the primary persons in charge of enterprises, regulating the conduct of food safety management personnel, and enruring food safety.
These Provisions shall apply to the implementation of responsibility for food safety by food production and business operation enterprises and their primary persons in charge, food safety directors, food safety officers, and other food safety management personnel in accordance with the law and the supervision and administration thereof within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
The Provisions mandate the establishment of comprehensive food safety management systems. Key responsibilities include implementing daily, weekly, and monthly food safety checks, addressing potential risks, and ensuring compliance with food safety laws. The Provisions require food production and business operation enterprises to maintain detailed records of food safety activities and decisions, support food safety personnel in their duties, and provide necessary resources for effective food safety management. They also include provisions for dynamic risk management, regular self-inspections, and reporting mechanisms to local market supervision departments.
